Meet our new staff members

Lanna Caruth

Junior Statistician

Lanna did her B.S in Engineering Science with minors in Scientific Computing and Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderblt University. Lana also has interests in public health and reproductive justice and strives to bring a holistic, equity-focused perspective to my work. Outside of the lab, she enjoy reading, exercising, baking, and, when she can, catching up on some guilty pleasure reality TV.

Fun Fact: Lanna has a 14-year-old tuxedo cat named Joann!

Zachary Rodriguez

Bioinformatician

Zach completed his PhD at the Museum of Natural Science, Louisiana State University and pursued a postdoc in Computational Psychopathology where he analyzed digital phenotypes of serious mental illnesses.

Fun Fact: Zach was part of a National Geographics Expedition to Papua New Guinea to discover new species of reptiles and amphibians.


Meet our post-docs

Stephanie Mohammed

Stephanie earned her Ph.D. with high commendation at The University of the West Indies and continued research on PCOS prevalence in Trinidad. She received the Principal's Award for Most Outstanding Graduate Researcher in October-November 2023. Additionally, she was honored with the PCOS Challenge Early Stage Investigator Award, The Ricardo Azziz Leadership Award at the AE-PCOS Society Meeting in Rotterdam, and the Paul Harris Fellow Award from various Rotary Clubs in February 2024.

Jagyashila Das

Jagyashila did her PhD from the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, India, to understand the maternal epigenomic landscape of preterm birth. 

Jagyashila is not just a scientist in a lab coat; she is an aspiring storyteller, a translator of the language of life. She is intrigued by nature’s intricate designs. She is also a wildlife enthusiast, and love taking pictures!

Tess Cherlin

Tess did her PhD in Computation Transcriptomics at Jefferson University just across the Schuylkill River in Center City, Philadelphia.

When not at computer or in the classroom, she like to walk her dog Malta, read books, watch detective shows, and travel the country visiting friends.

Lindsay Guare

Graduate Student

Before she came to Philadelphia, she did her undergrad at Michigan State University where she was a mellophone in the marching band for 4 years!

Fun fact: Linday is left-handed!

Aude Ikuzwe Sidikuwabo

Graduate Student

Before coming to Philadelphia, Aude earned her bachelor’s degree from William Penn University in Iowa and went on to be a research assistant at the Jackson Laboratory.

Fun Fact: She accidently learnt Spanish by watching too many Spanish TV shows.

Chelsea Okeh

Post-Baccalaureate Student

Chelsea earned her B.S in Biological Sciences and Minor in Health Administration and Policy from the University of Maryland. She love to explore restaurants, attractions, and events in the city. She also love keeping houseplants and gardening!
